ABOUT US
Cariboo Rivers Fishing and Wilderness Adventures is a premier outfitter specializing in guided fishing, bear-viewing, and wilderness experiences throughout British Columbia’s Cariboo Chilcotin region. Led by professional angling guide Nate Marin, we are dedicated to delivering world-class adventures rooted in deep local knowledge, respect for the land, and a passion for unforgettable outdoor experiences.

Our History
For years, our team has explored and guided across one of the most diverse and productive fishing regions in British Columbia. What began as a passion for fly fishing and wilderness travel has grown into a trusted outfitting operation known for trophy-class angling, expert guiding, and authentic, personalized service. Today, we continue that legacy—sharing some of BC’s most extraordinary waters and landscapes with guests from around the world.

Where We Operate
We guide across a vast 4,000-square-mile area stretching from the dry Chilcotin plateau in the west to the lush interior rainforests of the Quesnel Lake watershed in the east. This region includes world-renowned rivers and lakes such as the Blackwater, Mitchell, Horsefly, Quesnel, Cariboo, and Swift River, along with premier lakes including Dragon Lake and Quesnel Lake.
Rivers We Fish
Our guided river experiences include:
-
Daily Blackwater trips and 4–6 day float trips offering some of the best dry-fly fishing in BC.
-
Mitchell and Horsefly Rivers, known for world-class Rainbow Trout ranging from 3–10 lbs.
-
A total of seven major rivers, targeting Trophy Rainbow Trout and Bull Trout.
These rivers are rich in insect life, diverse habitat, and striking scenery—ideal conditions for exceptional angling.

Lakes We Fish
We also guide on 20 carefully selected lakes, each chosen for its productivity, fish size, and overall angling experience. Waters like Dragon Lake and Quesnel Lake are internationally recognized for producing trophy Rainbow Trout and offering some of the finest stillwater fishing in British Columbia.
Epic Grizzly Tours
We offer unforgettable grizzly viewing tours deep within the remote wetlands of the Mitchell and Penfold Rivers. After a scenic jet boat journey down Quesnel Lake, guests witness bears feeding on returning salmon, explore ancient cedar forests, and experience one of British Columbia’s most pristine, untouched ecosystems—a photographer’s dream and an extraordinary wildlife adventure found nowhere else.
